freshening up

In other news, I finally sat down to turn out a couple of the projects which have been brewing in my mind for quite some time. Just had to: convince dave to go to home depot (like he needed an excuse),get some time, and, oh yes, i had to find the kitchen table...






Found this FANTASTIC idea for a clothes peg board on "So Tread Softly." it took all of 10 minutes to put together.


some new pillows for the couch (nothing special yet, can't find that perfect fabric)

hearding spiders

I was reading today, as I occasionally have the luxury of doing, and a woman was remarking that watching over small children in a public place is much akin to "hearding spiders." That was the most perfect description I have ever heard! Now for a video of my tiny spider...

With Dave back and on summer vacation we've been trying to catch up on everything we put off since January... as usual when we've actual time together, procrastination has taken over...we prefer to curl up on the couch with a movie rental to doing dishes or housework. This might not bode well for our house guests next week (sorry T &K)!

Really now we must get motivated because I've got a rather large order for a shop here in SD, and I can't work when the house has piles of rubble abounding in every corner. Yikes!

I'd put up some pics, but it's really that bad... instead I'll leave you with a couple more New Zealand photos, and a few of what we've been doing instead of attending to chores.

Kiwis

The last few weeks have been hectic, with birthdays, graduations, and, well, not much sewing!To add a little of a twist, Dave took a trip to New Zealand with our friend Dave H. for two weeks. He returned last Wednesday with stories, gorgeous pictures, and a stuffed kiwi for Em. As I get on the machine, I'll post pics of some of my newest creations... for now these photos of Dave's adventures in NZ will have to do!
