Planning a party these days comes with SO many options. For those on short notice, I love email invitations. They are quick and easy and they keep track of guest information for you. The only think I haven't loved is the lack of selection - until now. Pingg.com is the ultimate evite site. Not only do you have the email option, but you can print invitations as well! If only I had these last weekend!

cute as a button

I was absolutely overwhelmed (in a good way) this weekend with an outpouring of love from friends and family at our baby shower. I was thinking it would be a quiet get-together. After all, I had a baby shower when Em was born, and didn't want to be too much trouble. When I walked in, it was clear that this was not the case... everywhere I looked there was something, some sort of amazing detail. The theme was "cute as a button."

Thank you
to all the ladies who put this together, and to everyone who was there, for making it such a special and blessed day!

talk about the obvious!

After scrolling through my recent posts, I just now noticed I left something out. All this talk about things going with your theme... and I didn't post any themes! First off, I don't think that a theme is necessary, but it can make things a lot easier. Even a unifying color can be a theme...

"wild"
baby shower, polka dot theme, goodnight sleep(take pictures b/c this is the last time she'll see a good night's sleep for awhile!) shower, cherry theme, eclectic, retro

green tea party, lemon theme, "Sweetest Thing"- a perfect occasion for lots of desserts and candies! This last one is something new to me... but cool. It's called a "sprinkle shower" and it's for mom's who have other children, and most of the needed items, but still want to celebrate the occasion with friends and family - adorable!
