dance dance

I know I haven't been around lately, I'm hurridly (a word?) updating my website/etsy store. But I had to post this. Check out my daughter's dance moves... I have no idea where she got them.

TMI?

You know it's time to shave your legs when...

Your two year old touches your calf and says, "oh, like daddy!"

one hundred wishes

Today it hit me. As I was helping Emma into her costume butterfly wings for the 47th time of the morning I realized - she's a girl! Yes, I already knew that, but I mean a girly girl. Don't get me wrong, she's rough and tough, but she loves pink, princesses, and ballet slippers, she adores her "babies," and actually likes to go shopping with me. This was not my experience as a kid. I had dolls, but preferred to play horses. I didn't like dresses, and I really didn't like pink. Before the girls were born the thought she would be the way she is would have scared me... what do I do with her? But it has snuck up on me and I've found myself loving it! While reading a friend's blog this afternoon, I stumbled accross this online store "One Hundred Wishes," chock-full of old-fashioned girly odds and ends - and a fantastic blog to boot!

ponies and mermaids

In a casual conversation today, a friend recommended a fabric designer. After googling her, I couldn't believe I had never come across these GORGEOUS prints in all my travels. Heather Ross' designs combine the magic of childhood with style even an adult could love (and you will, trust me). The pictures are from her "Mendocino" line.
Check out Free Spirit for more from Heather Ross, as well as some of my other favorite designers including Heather Bailey!

it's getting hot in here

I lit the oven on fire today. Don't worry, everyone's okay - can't say the same for dinner.

pingg

Planning a party these days comes with SO many options. For those on short notice, I love email invitations. They are quick and easy and they keep track of guest information for you. The only think I haven't loved is the lack of selection - until now. Pingg.com is the ultimate evite site. Not only do you have the email option, but you can print invitations as well! If only I had these last weekend!

Doll House

Nothing is more DIY than a dollhouse... and every little girl should have one. Em got one for her birthday. If only I had seen these from Flickr, maybe I wouldn't STILL be working on fixing it up 3 months later...
ummm people are so into this... these doughnuts- the size of a pin head.

life as i know it

I don't know how Michelle Duggar does it. She has 18 children and still seems to function. I have a mere 2, and can barely manage to wash my face in the morning. Here's a few pics of what we've been up to lately. I'll try to be around the blog spot more regularly!
